COVID-19 update from Kelly Grover
Cystic Fibrosis Canada is closely monitoring developments relating to COVID-19 in Canada. We understand this is a time of concern for many members of our community.
We are following the advice of the Public Health Agency of Canada and consulting with CF experts to ensure we have the right plans and information in place to safeguard the health of our staff and our community as best we can. This is of utmost importance to us.
From now until April 6, 2020, we have postponed CF Canada events and asked all staff to work from home. To minimize unnecessary risk, we have also suspended work-related travel for all staff, as well as in-person meetings, encouraging virtual meetings whenever possible.
Information is changing rapidly and we will reassess the date of April 6 later this month to determine if this date needs to be extended. As of today, the Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History will continue as planned for May 31 2020.
We recognize that the facts about COVID-19 are still emerging, and that the uncertainty can be unsettling. We are committed to providing updates to you, your families, and our volunteers as new information is available. We have consulted with CF experts and a COVID-19 Q&A page for the CF community is available on our website to help share important information with you at this time.
We appreciate your continued support. Thank you for your patience and commitment as we respond to this evolving situation together.
Take care,
Kelly Grover
