The following resources are for caregivers to access during the COVID-19 outbreak. They include information on different COVID related resources such as parenting, managing stress, and maintaining one’s own personal mental health, as well as, province-specific information on support groups and helplines for caregivers to access.
Text4Hope: A free service providing three months of daily Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)–based text messages written by mental health therapists. Community members simply subscribe to receive ongoing supportive content. There is no cost. Text COVID19HOPE to 393939 to subscribe.
The Caregiver Support Community: In response to the evolving COVID-19 situation Caregivers Alberta have added new ONLINE Caregiver Support Community groups happening each Monday and Thursday. (RSVP online)

COVID-19 non-medical Phone Service: The province has created a phone service to provide non-medical information about COVID-19, including the latest information on travel restrictions. Information is available in more than 110 languages, 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Pacific Standard Time at 1-888-COVID19 (1-888-268-4319) or via text message at 604-630-0300.
Teleconference Support Groups: A Safe Space for Caregivers: Conference calls take place at the following date/time: Third Thursday of the month from 2:00-3:30 PM (April 16, May 21, June 18)You must pre-register to join each conference call: To join the group, contact our Family Caregiver Support Line at 1-877-520-3267(Ext 1) or cgsupport@familycaregiversbc.ca NO LATER THAN 24 hours before the meeting, at which time you will be provided with instructions on how to join the conference call.

HealthLink BC:8-1-1 is a free-of-charge provincial health information and advice phone line available in British Columbia. The 8-1-1 phone line is operated by HealthLink BC, which is part of the Ministry of Health. By calling 8-1-1, you can speak to a health service navigator, who can help you find health information and services; or connect you directly with a registered nurse, a registered dietitian, a qualified exercise professional, or a pharmacist. Available in French as well.

Provincial CHANNAL Warm Line: If you are feeling isolated and alone during COVID-19, you are encouraged to reach out and speak with a trained mental health peer supporter. Therapy Assistance Online: is a free and private online resource with interactive activities and videos for people facing mental health challenges. It includes activities on a variety of topics, and you can choose which ones you want to explore.
MindWell-U: a free 30-day mindfulness challenge; an online tool which helps lower stress and improve well-being.
Mental Health Mobile Crisis Line: If you’re experiencing a mental health or addictions crisis, or are concerned about someone who is, the Mental Health Mobile Crisis Line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Available in English and French.

Ontario Caregiver Helpline: Provides caregivers with a one-stop resource for information and support. The helpline is available to all caregivers – regardless of age, diagnosis or where they live. 24 hour support. Call: 1-833-416-2273.
ConnexOntario: Adults and frontline workers who are dealing with the realities of COVID-19 can call for mental health support.
Find Support for Individuals: Physical distancing and self-isolation can be difficult. Find out about organizations that are helping out in your area by delivering groceries, medication and other essentials or by offering a friendly voice and social support.

CMHA Yukon Division counselling staff are providing telephone or video sessions. Drop-in counselling has been extended from one day a week to 5 days a week. Appointments are available by phone within 48 hours of calling to book the appointment.
