Spotlight on Healthcare

Grants and Awards

Offered through an annual competition, this award supports a Canadian CF clinic nurse each year to attend an educational event (such as the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference or similar). It is available thanks to the generosity and leadership of Louise Taylor, former CF Clinic Nurse Coordinator of The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

We would like to congratulate our 2022-2023 Taylor Nursing Award winners:

  • Eve Routhier, Institut Universitaire de Cardiologie et de Pneumologie de Quebec (IUCPQ) in Quebec City; and
  • Karen Doyle of the Health Sciences Centre (Adult) in St. John’s NL!

The purpose of the Clinical Fellowship is to train physicians to become CF specialists, so that they may provide on-going clinical care to individuals with CF in Canada. The Clinical Fellowships are intended for those physicians who have already obtained their residency training and who wish to pursue additional clinical training in CF care. Up to two highly ranked competitive Clinical Fellowships will be offered by Cystic Fibrosis Canada each year; the value of this one-year fellowship is $75,000.

We would like to congratulate our 2022-2023 Clinical Fellowship award winners:

  • Alison Love, St. Michaels; and
  • Isacc Martin, Toronto Sick Kids.
